8th Annual Houston Buddy Walk

Due to complications arising from the aftermath of hurricane Ike, the Buddy Walk has been rescheduled for Saturday, December 6th.
What is the Buddy Walk?
Local children and adults with Down syndrome, their family and friends, and many other supporters will take to the downtown traails alon Buffalo Bayou to promote Down syndrome awareness and acceptance.
What is Down syndrome?
Down syndrome is a chromosomal abnormality affecting more than 400,000 individuals int the United States. People with Down syndrome possess a wide degree of abilities and are active participants in the educational, occupational, social and recreational activities in the community.

Register: Call DSAH and ask for a Team Captain packtet to be mailed to you OR go to www.houstonbuddywalk.org to register online. The individual registration fee is $10.00 for adults, $5.00 for children ages 4-12, free for children with DS and free for children 3 and younger (no t-shirt). Registration incudes 1 t-shirt, 1 raffle ticket, Team photo taken, Goody bag and free family entertainment. If you can't walk with us on September 27th, but would still like to get involved with the event, monetary donations are welcome! You can donate online here! :)
