DSAH Membership

Become a DSAH Member Today!!!

The DSAH is a non-profit organization comprised of families who have a child with Down syndrome, and others who are interested or have been touched in some way by Down syndrome. Your membership helps DSAH continue to support individuals with Down syndrome and their families. We rely solely on contributions from individuals like you. These go directly to fund the Down Syndrome Resource Center, new parent packages, meetings, picnics, parties, the production of the newsletter and other various activities.

Membership Benefits Include:

  • FREE access to fun activities offered at the DSRC (Down Syndrome Resource Center), such as Gymboree Classes, Group Music Therapy, among others.
  • FREE privileges to the DSAH library: ability to borrow books or audiovisual materials as well as to enjoy special discounts on book purchases at the library
  • Discount on events (e.g., "Camp for All"), conferences (educational) organized by DSAH
  • Some special conferences/classes are sponsored by DSAH and we give members the opportunity to attend TUITION-FREE (e.g., Special Education training classes to prepare parents for ARD meetings offered by the ARC of Greater Houston). DSAH provides free vouchers upon member's request.
  • Opportunity to enter your relative's name in the list to be part of an upcoming edition of the DSAH calendar
  • From time to time DSAH receives discounted or free tickets for fun events in the Houston area. These are available on first come first basis (with priority to active DSAH members).
  • The DSAH newsletter, "DSAH Today" featuring information on upcoming meetings, news, stories, medical updates, educational issues, etc.
  • Invitations to DSAH social gatherings throughout the year.
  • And much, much more.

The Down Syndrome Association of Houston offers membership renewable on an annual basis. If you are not able to pay the dues, there is an option for a free membership - but you must fill out a membership form.
