Please consider volunteering for some of the upcoming Down Syndrome Association of Houston events.

Only through the dedication of our members and volun- teers are we able to provide so many opportunities for programs and events that further promote positive awareness about Down syndrome.

Please take a moment to view our current volunteer needs.




Description of Events and Positions:

Volunteer Coordinator
Meet with the DSAH coordinator for the event, and the DSAH Volunteer Coordinator and sign in the volunteers for the event (we will provide the log book and pens) make sure volunteers are at the desired positions so all positions are filled, especially during the Buddy Walk with it being a 5 or more hour event, make sure volunteers are covered for breaks and water drinks.

Spring Eggstravaganza
Piñatas, Easter Bunny, hide eggs, general clean up, sign-in table

Holiday/Christmas Party
Piñatas, games, Santa Clause, take photos, assist santa with gifts, sign-in table

Teens & Adults Dances
Sign-in table, help decorate, clean up, dance

Monthly Meetings: Childcare
Crafts, infant room, board games

Respite Care: Friday Evenings
Help with the child care and events planned for children; dancing, crafts, games

Movie Nights
Sign in, popcorn/drinks

Buddy Walk
Registration tables, water pass outs, walk-guards, exit points, Volunteer Coordinator

Conferences
Registration table, ushers

Administration
General paper work and mailings if needed.
